The book is in very good condition, with no marks and a gift inscription dated 1944 to the inside cover page. There is light wear and marks to the base of the spine.
The dust wrapper is in good + condition and is not price clipped. There is loss to the top and base of the spine and base of the rear cover, which also has a small tear, and the corners. The covers are a touch dusty, and there is a stain to the reverse side of the base of the spine. The wrapper comes in a clear unattached protective cover.
Contains numerous beautiful line drawings and a colour frontis by Hilda McGavin, better known for her illustrations of numerous Enid Blyton books.
